Baby's Room

Take A Tour of our Baby's Room!

Music, Dance and Dramatic Play

Keeping your little ones engaged in play all day is no easy task. With our extensive range of resources, instruments, and community resources, children will be involved in many music, dance, and dramatic play experiences. Dramatic play creates an understanding of the real world and assists children to take their knowledge from home into play. Dancing assists with gross motor skills, coordination, and retelling cultural stories. It helps with forming their identity.

Multicultural Experiences

Tralee Gardens celebrates all cultural and religious celebrations. The celebrations include activities such as multicultural song and dance, craft, informative books, and decorations. Children are involved in all activities, bringing their knowledge, and understanding from their own experiences at home, in the community, and even in their home country.

Aboriginal And Torres Strait Islander Perspectives

In 2022, the Australian Government Department of Education updated the Early Years Learning Framework (Early childhood curriculum framework) to include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into everyday practice in early learning settings. Tralee Gardens has always implemented many elements of the program to support children’s knowledge of Aboriginal culture and perspectives. This creates a respectful environment for children to grow in their knowledge of the world around them.

Art

In the arts, children have opportunities to learn through purposeful play and to develop their sensory, cognitive, and affective appreciation of the world around them through exploratory, imaginative, and creative learning. The arts build on the Early Years Learning Framework and its key learning outcomes:
  • Children have a strong sense of identity
  • Children are connected with and have a strong connection to their world
  • Children have a strong sense of wellbeing
  • Children are confident and involved learners
  • Children are effective communicators
